From 22nd to 25th, the track meet called “good luck Beijing” was held in bird’s nest stadium. The Organizing Committee of this match organized a donation together with BCA in remember of fellowmen who died in Wenchuan Earthquake and in support of the disaster area. Everyone who came into the stadium received a massage with introductory notes of the locations of the donation boxes. Till the end of that match, BCA raised 130028.68 Yuan and 11 dollars in cash. The on site working staff of BCA made out of the receipt and granted the certificates of donation.
On the single day of May 26th, BCA raised 4 Million Yuan and till then there were 42 million Yuan in total.
Beijing Jindingxuan cater management Co. Ltd had donated 1.42 million Yuan, then the staff there all donated 0.84 million Yuan spontaneously. There was a staff that came from Si Chuan province donating all of his one month salary which was 1000 Yuan in total. He told us that his mother passed away when he was 7 and he lived with his father and sister from then now. During that time, he got lots of help from other kind-hearted men, and now it was the time for him to do something in return.
This morning, a young worker who came from outside of Beijing came into BCA in a hurry and donated 50 Yuan. He said he was doing some cleaning outside and finding he could donate here. He wanted to do something to help people in the disaster area although he didn’t make much money.
On the day of May 27th, there was a low-pitched Benevolence person donated 200000 Yuan through BCA signed by “for storing up Goodness and Goodness of Nature”. This was the largest amount of individual donations BCA had received. |
