BCA participated the meeting of propagating Smile Train ten years commemoration

On April 21^st, the meeting of propagating Smile Train ten years commemoration was held in Yunnan Dali. There were more than 60 ones participating the meeting, including the executive vice chairperson of CCF Li Bengong, the manager of the Smile Train project Chang Hanying and so on. The vice general secretary of BCA Zhang Kunyin and the director of project department of BCA Zhang Huiying participated the meeting.

On the meeting, the chairperson Li Bengong gave a speech. The meeting summed up the ten years’ experience and achievements of Smile Train and talked about how to strengthen the propaganda of Smile Train ten years’ commemoration.

The Smile Train Project was a long term cooperated project of CCF and Smile Train Foundation. By now, 150000 cleft lip and palate operations had been done. Since the incidence of cleft lip and palate was 0.16% and Chinese population was so large, there still are ten thousands of sufferers who need to operate. The main problem was that suffers living in remote mountainous areas couldn’t be operated timely. So CCF would strengthen the propaganda in order to cure more suffers. CCF also held the show on the achievement of the project.
